Kids Helplink: A Lifeline for Students Seeking Legal Aid
Empowering Teenagers Across Seven Districts
Access to justice is a fundamental right, yet many teenagers in Bangladesh lack the resources and support needed to seek legal assistance. Understanding this gap, our organization launched Kids Helplink on May 19, 2024, a groundbreaking initiative inaugurated by Mr. Md. Shamim Hasan, Deputy Commissioner of Meherpur District. Since its inception, Kids Helplink has provided legal aid and guidance to students across seven districts, making justice more accessible for young people in need.
How Kids Helplink Works
+ This initiative serves as a dedicated platform for teenagers facing legal challenges, harassment, and other rights violations. Through this system, students can:
+ Report legal issues anonymously and receive professional guidance.
+ Get connected with lawyers for free legal aid and advice.
+ Seek psychological and social support, ensuring their mental well-being.
+ Receive assistance in filing official complaints with law enforcement and local authorities.

Impact & Success Stories
Since its launch, Kids Helplink has reached thousands of students, empowering them with legal knowledge and direct support. Our initiative has played a crucial role in addressing cases of child marriage, cyber harassment, and teenage violence. In some instances, our rapid intervention has helped prevent potential crimes, ensuring the safety of vulnerable students.
One of our most remarkable achievements was featured in Dhaka Tribune and The Business Standard, where nine individuals were arrested in connection with teenage rape and harassment cases. These arrests were the result of our collaborative efforts with law enforcement, ensuring that justice was served swiftly and effectively.
Expanding Our Reach
Currently active in seven districts, we aim to expand Kids Helplink nationwide, strengthening legal aid services for students across Bangladesh. Our goal is to create a safe and accessible legal support system, where no child has to suffer in silence.
Through Kids Helplink, we are building a future where every teenager knows their rights and has the support to defend them. This initiative is more than just a helpline—it’s a movement towards justice, empowerment, and safety for all.
