Ending Child Labour: A Collective Responsibility for a Better Future
Ending Child Labour: A Collective Responsibility for a Better Future
By -Shahi Al Sadat
Child labour remains one of the most pressing social issues, depriving millions of children of their basic rights to education, health, and a safe childhood. Despite legal frameworks and awareness campaigns, thousands of children in Bangladesh and across the world continue to be forced into hazardous work, often under exploitative conditions.
Our Commitment to Ending Child Labour –
I) At The Startup IO Foundation, we believe that every child deserves the right to education and a safe, healthy upbringing. Our efforts focus on identifying, rescuing, and rehabilitating child labour victims, as well as raising awareness about the dangers of child labour and the importance of education.
ii) Through our initiatives, we have successfully helped resolve 103 cases related to child labour, child marriage, human trafficking, and cyber exploitation. We work closely with local authorities, legal experts, and community leaders to ensure that every child is protected from exploitation and given the opportunity to thrive.
Educating Communities & Taking Action-
Child labour is often driven by poverty, lack of awareness, and weak law enforcement. To combat this issue, we have conducted numerous awareness programs in schools, villages, and urban slums, educating both children and parents about:
✔️ The long-term impact of child labour on physical and mental health
✔️ The legal rights of children and the consequences of child labour laws
✔️ The importance of education as a way to break the cycle of poverty
Additionally, through Kids Helplink, we provide legal support and rehabilitation assistance for children trapped in exploitative labor.

Advocating for Policy Changes
Beyond direct interventions, we are working toward stronger policy implementation to ensure that child labour laws are enforced effectively. Our team actively collaborates with policymakers, NGOs, and international organizations to push for better protections, stricter regulations, and increased funding for education programs that help reduce child labour.
A Recognized Effort for a Safer Future
Our work in child rights advocacy has been recognized both nationally and internationally. With representation at IGF 2025 and our continued legal and social initiatives, we are determined to bring real change in the fight against child labour. We believe that a child belongs in school, not in factories, fields, or hazardous workplaces.
How You Can Help ?
The fight against child labour requires a united effort from all sectors of society. We urge individuals, businesses, and policymakers to:
✅ Report cases of child labour
✅ Support education initiatives for underprivileged children
✅ Advocate for stricter enforcement of child labour laws
