Teen-X Mobile Application – A Revolution in Teen Safety

The Teen-X mobile application was initially launched in 2021 as “Travelling,” a navigation and location-tracking app for the people of Bangladesh. It was developed by Shahi Al Sadat, the founder and current president of The Startup IO Foundation. Later, the app was rebranded as Teen-X Mobile Application, shifting its focus towards teen safety.

This application plays a crucial role in preventing teenage rape and serves as a reporting system. One of its standout features is the SOS Alert Mechanism, which helps track victims’ locations in emergencies. Over the past two years, nine criminals have been arrested using this system. The app has been widely recognized, with reports published in Dhaka Tribune and The Business Standard.

In addition to crime prevention, Teen-X has provided mental health support to numerous teenagers. The transformation of a business application into a non-profit, child rights & teen rights-based platform by The Startup IO’s founder is truly remarkable. Teen-X was first introduced as “Travelling” on March 22, 2021, and was later converted into a child and teen rights-focused application the following year.
